Free Contraception Service at Hoban Health – Available in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin
The Free Contraception Scheme is available to women, girls, and people with a uterus aged 17 to 35, providing free contraception, prescriptions, and consultations with your GP or nurse. This scheme covers a range of options, including the pill, the patch, vaginal rings, injections, coils (IUD/IUS), and implants, as well as the fitting or removal of long-acting reversible contraception (LARC).
At Hoban Health, our experienced GPs and nurses offer confidential, supportive appointments to help you choose the best method for your needs.
Your consultation, prescriptions, and contraception devices are fully covered under the scheme – meaning there is no cost to you.

Am I Eligible?
You can avail of this service if you:

Are aged between 17 and 35

Live in Ireland and have a valid PPS number

Or have a Medical Card or Doctor Visit Card

Private Contraception Appointments
If you do not meet the eligibility criteria for the Free Contraception Scheme or do not have a Medical Card or Doctor Visit Card, you can still access contraception care at Hoban Health as a private patient.
